Closet of Hope is proud to partner with Girl Scout Troop 3208 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, as they complete their Silver Award service project by collecting essential items for children impacted by foster care.
When children enter foster care, they often arrive with little more than the clothes they're wearing. Foster families are frequently called to welcome a child into their home with little notice, making immediate access to clothing, hygiene products, and everyday essentials incredibly important.
Recognizing this need, Troop 3208 has chosen to make a meaningful impact by organizing a community donation drive benefiting Closet of Hope.
Most Needed Items
The troop is collecting:
Children's clothing (all sizes)
Teen clothing
New underwear and socks
Diapers (all sizes)
Baby wipes
Toiletries and personal hygiene items
Hair care products for all hair types and textures
Backpacks
Duffel bags
Every donation helps ensure children entering foster care receive the essentials they need with dignity and care. A backpack or duffel bag gives a child a safe place for their belongings, while clean clothing and hygiene items provide comfort during what is often one of the most difficult times in their lives.
This project reflects the leadership, compassion, and commitment to community service that the Girl Scout Silver Award represents. We are incredibly grateful to Troop 3208 for choosing to support children and families served by Closet of Hope.
