The 2026 Closet of Hope Gala is more than an event — it is a gathering of hearts committed to restoring dignity and building hope for children navigating foster care.
Because while many see a beautiful evening ahead… we see something deeper.
We see the child who arrived with nothing but the clothes on their back. We see the foster family receiving a midnight call. We see the moment dignity is restored through something as simple — and as powerful — as new clothing, shoes, and essentials.
One night fuels that impact for an entire year.
Why This Gala Matters
Closet of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving foster, kinship, and adoptive families right here in our community.
Most people are unaware that the majority of children entering foster care come with no belongings — no suitcase, no familiar blanket, no comfort item.
Closet of Hope changes that story.
Every item in our “store” is completely free to foster families. We place no limits on what they may take. Families have 24/7 access because they never know when a call may come. And we serve every child in the home — including foster siblings who also make sacrifices to open their hearts and homes.
There are no paid staff members. This is truly a labor of love — powered by generous donors, volunteers, and sponsors who believe children deserve dignity.
And that is why this gala matters.
